Profiteering over someone’s misery « School Work
It’s immoral that someone is trying to make profit by selling domain names related to this tragedy. It’s kind of exploitative and yes, it’s normatively disgusting. Shame on them..

Counterfeits… a.k.a FAKES!!!! « you, me, and everything else….
yes, it is very worrying. If you buy online, you cannot tell the products are fakes or not because if the sellers / manufacturers are dishonest even they send you samples, pictures, etc for approval but the actual goods can be different from what you have confirm.

Mass Dog Wedding! May 30, 2007

I ran across pictures of Mass Dog Wedding on the internet today, and fifty dog couples have been wed in howly muttrimony in the US city of Littleton, breaking the Guinness record for the largest mass dog ‘wedding’.
Brides were appropriately dressed, wearing either veils or full bridal gowns. Their male counterparts donned tuxes, bow ties or other wedding-related attire. Nice!!
I think they’re one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I wa wondering how does “the groom” feels when he walks down the aisle with his “bride”. Was he nervous?
I keep thinking what if the “bride” won’t wear her tiara, or the “groom” takes a sudden interest in another dog and won’t come to the “altar”, hahahaha…Ok..ok.. But Somehow, I believe they ‘do’ understand the concept of getting married. Some pictures really show that the groom was really happy for his new life but make sure the brides are ok with this. Wouldn’t want them divorcing, hehehe..
Take a look at some pictures here.
Aren’t they cute…
If you had all the money you’d need, where would you go? May 30, 2007

Do you have a favorite vacation spot? Or a dream destination you would always think you’d save up for but seem to have never gotten around to? Or would you rather go somewhere with a purpose and hope to achieve something? Whatever it is, I believe everyone would have a special place in their mind that they’ve always wanted to go. Seriously, I need abreak. I want to see the world beyond the class romm and my computer desk. I’ve always wanted to see new cultures, see what is was like to just live- and not worrying about my assignment.
I’ve been to China couple years ago. I was very excited. For me, seeing another place or countries is just like learning something new. It’s always good to get to know other new things.
Here’re some pictures that I took when I had a vacation to China.

Lately, I’ve always wanted to go to Venice. Europe has always had a fascination for me, but I fell in love with Venice the moment I heard about it. The canals, the guilds, the bridges and the old buildings… I will go there some day
Lots of nice pictures of Venice here.
Anyone else anything?

Sodium benzoate: Silent Killer? « School Work
Good post Eddy. I drinks coke frequently and yes, it’s very worrying. Sodium benzoate also is often added to products such as fruit juice, fruit-flavored waters, sports drinks, applesauce, tomato sauce, soup and breakfast cereal.
Here’s an article on the same topic from newspaper.
Anyway, do you believe that Pepsi and Coca cola do not put sodium benzoate in their products?
Wikipedia- Is it reliable? May 27, 2007

I remember few days ago, I had a little talk with my friend who studies music. He seemed to be confuse on how he define the word “guitar” for one of his website article. At some point I brought up Wikipedia. My friend says that Wikipedia is unreliable as a resource. I had to agree. For some topics, the most recent article may be unreliable, but unlike an encyclopedia, Wikipedia lets you see every argument from every side of the story up until the current article. The history feature of Wikipedia lets you see the article as it is written today, and how it was written yesterday and even last year. There may hundreds of modifications to an article.
We looked up “guitar” in Wikipedia. There have been more than 1500 edits to the article since 2000. Every one of those edits is available for review. In addition there is a discussion attached to the article. Here the editors talk about the edits, why parts have been modified and what changes could be made in the future. Sometimes a real debate between experts is right there in the discussion. This insight benefits the learning and knowing process.
In my opinion, it is the process of determining what is correct that is most important to the educational process. Anyone can look something up using an encyclopedia. Today’s student should be able look at so many of information and determine what is correct. Wikipedia provides the opportunity for this kind of learning.
UMPC ?? May 9, 2007

Check out this video, Intel version of Ultra Mobile PC. UMPC is in development right now however I believe all of stuffs in this video is still just a concept work.
The video is really cool, eventhough I wonder if Intel will be able to make it happen any time soon. It just too good to be true, hehe..
Personally, I wouldn’t mind with this UMPC… but in my opinion, will UMPC’s ever go mainstream? I am not sure. if there is a big enough need for them then yes. Look at the tablet pc. How many people do you know own one of these or the conversion types. If the UMPC are going to take off in the mainstream arena, they will have to provide one hell of a good use for users to want to go out and use these as opposed to their laptops, mobile phones, portable media players, and etc.
what do you think?
